We all got wrecked, the last layout turned out to be the worst — small respawn, shooter blockers. On the second week, I managed to take a necro comp with a power-up, and a cons 1 on his respawn, then a meeting with the opponent — all heroes were mages led by Deemer. I had to hang around the necro respawns and not stick my head out. In both castles I built cavalry, but I drove the economy straight into the gutter — I traded resources at the external market to zero just to buy stuff. I didn't even rebuild the Mage Guild. I wanted to take a Dragon Utopia on the third week with 500 skeletons, 6 cavalry, 20 vampires, and 10 liches, but it was max-level, I had Animate but no earth magic and only enough for 2 casts — I didn't risk it. I postponed it to the fourth week, didn't make it in time, because the opponent already showed up with nice stats and 150 magic.
I thought I could defend by sitting in the castle, but, as it turned out, Anti-Magic without earth doesn't protect against Implosion, and I probably wouldn't have held out anyway.
As the postmortem showed, my max-level Dragon Utopia had trash loot, while the opponent's both Draconic Utopias dropped normal artifacts.
Thank you for the game.
