Walkthroughs for custom maps.

I didn't go into too much detail, as everyone has their own habits, but on most maps, I make 2-3 saves per game day, sometimes more often, especially before important/difficult battles – it's a must, because sometimes you do everything right, but suddenly some random event happens, like the special abilities of enemy creatures or even a simple misclick. Time is more valuable than disk space, and I always clean up the unnecessary files later. As a result, I haven't had any fatal errors in all these years that would force me to start a walkthrough from the beginning (only once did I unsuccessfully choose a faction, and as a result, I started over with a different color; I wrote about this, see the report on the "Boundaries of the Empire" map).
But that's all trivial compared to what I once read. A person installed the HD remaster of "Armageddon's Blade" (which, like the original, still doesn't have autosaves!) and then complains on the forum: "I played all day, and suddenly the power went out, and I didn't make any saves!" - He's just a malicious Pinocchio!
And here's the most recent illustration of the need to save regularly: the day ended well, and suddenly at night, an enemy heroine with a decent army attacks me from the darkness!
I had removed the Angel Alliance for the night to put on the Boots of Swiftness. With the Angel Alliance, she wouldn't have bothered me (I'll check this now). I thought: "Okay, I'll beat her anyway." I did, but I was a little short on mana and lost 35 griffins. But when I rode on, I saw another enemy heroine, allied with her, also with a decent army. And then the cunning plan of the enemies became clear: to make me waste all my mana so that they could easily defeat me afterwards (there would definitely be big losses). Therefore, the AI is sometimes quite cunning. And a fresh save will allow me to replay and start the next day in a way that is beneficial to me, not to the enemies.
I replayed the night with the Angel Alliance equipped – no one attacked me; on the contrary, both enemies fled.
