The Reds had a slight edge in tempo, and as the post-mortem showed, they guessed right on the guild build location. By d126, Jedite already had Dimension Door, AND by d132 he hopped to our main with 20+ cyclopes. In theory, he could have reached the castle, but for some reason he turned into the stables and didn't make it.
Thus, there was still a chance to take the max conflux and hole up in the castle with a fully charged Coronius at 200 spell power and build/rebuild magic. I sat there for 2 days. Jedite did not attack, and all the newly researched spells at 4th level only gave me a useless artifact.
In the end, Jedite (250+ spell power, 20 cyclopes, 3 giants, 2 angels, 7 champions) couldn't take it and attacked. And Coronius (200 spell power, 34 Evil Eyes, 10 medusae, 4 angels), thanks to luck, including a series of moralities, timely stands, and other miracles, not only defended but also didn't let the aggressor escape.
Thanks for the game!
