1. Players who registered on heroesworld after August 30, 2016, are invited to participate in the tournament.

Since there are players who registered earlier (in 2011 and even 2009) but played their first game very recently, it would be unfair not to include them. Therefore, we decided to accept into the tournament those whose first ranked game was no earlier than August 30, 2016. Based on this criterion, the following were denied participation:

It was also decided to deny participation to those who participated in the previous Новичок Tournament, reached the playoffs, and won at least 2 matches there. If you recall the history of the tournament, previously they didn't even allow those who made it out of the group stage in the previous tournament.

It was also decided to deny Magl, as he has played before on other sites and is now showing good results, so we cannot call him a Новичок.
