HotA map, difficulty set to maximum, 3-7 enemies (surprisingly, 3 is more interesting). Race: Humans.
It takes 3 weeks to build everything in the castle (sometimes up to 5 weeks if the map has strong monsters). Then, systematically, I capture buildings with griffons (forgot the name). This is how I obtain Angels. I divide the Angels into two groups (Resurrection spell, and I don't take the first two units at all, as they don't matter on HotA maps). At the beginning of the battle, I use Prayer (Water magic is almost always maxed out). Then, I use clones on Archons (either a strong attack or Resurrection – the computer loses 1 attack, and probably a human player too). There's also a strategy to blind the computer and then resurrect myself calmly, and then finish off the rest. Explosion, Berserk, and other powerful spells are used situationally. Another strategy is to cast Control Strike...
P.S. I'm not talking about the importance of utopias or developing secondary castles. That's obvious.
Is this a standard tactic for playing as Humans? It's not bad; at least the strategy is clear. Could you elaborate on it with an example, or even better, upload a save file of a battle? But not when you have 500 black dragons in your army and you're going to attack a couple of peasants :D
