Here is my opinion! The game is great—but of course, it has its downsides. For example, it seemed to me that in the standalone maps (not Campaigns), the world is quite primitive; what I mean is that the maps are all monotonous, you mostly run along paths and around them, but I think these are the drawbacks of 3D. It's a pity that many good things from the 4th games disappeared (caravans, for example), but those are just minor details! On the other hand, it is very interesting to play the Campaigns—you actually have to think rather than just blindly amass monsters! Overall, the game is great—and whether it will surpass the previous parts only time will tell! There will be add-ons, maps, etc., and then we'll see if interest in the game remains or fades away! As of today, I think everything is wonderful... and also, it seems to me that this is 70% Heroes 3 in 3D, + 30% novelty—and that's just great!!! I'm not claiming anything, I just wanted to express my opinion.
