HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
The actual reason for my dissatisfaction lies in the imposition of all this on the fanbase, the lack of alternatives, and the marginalization of single-player players. Bethesda games, for example, accumulate thousands of plugins; the company's attempts to unify them or take control in Skyrim were met with a bucket of filth. Since HW_rules have been integrated into the interface, what stops simply using it to ban other plugins when entering a lobby?
What exactly is the marginalization? SoD isn't affected at all, and all plugins there still work.
