I started my acquaintance with M&M with the 8th installment.

Comparing M&M 8 with Heroes 4 is completely wrong.
I wasn't comparing them. I mentioned Heroes 4 as one of the main reasons for 3DO's downfall. And M&M 8 is quite good, interesting; I just didn't like the possibility of hiring a dragon as a hero, and hiring already leveled-up heroes as well. Accordingly, during the playthrough, I tried not to use these options.
