Found this Castle as a mod for VCMI. I will add the Castle with a new fix.
Thank you very much)

In which version do you encounter problems with portals (WOG, Compete, Era2, HoTa, VCMI), and how did you manage to solve this problem?
Thank you for the feedback!

Map is maximum (with Dungeons), difficulty is second to last, no water, creature strength is medium, I am playing as a Castle with wyverns, I gave the computer 7 new cities (I didn't give it any technical cities). Before that, I created several different maps with all possible new cities and played 1-2 battles.

During the game, I encountered a problem with the portal:
The first passage through the portal works without problems, but if I try to pass through the portal again using the spacebar (the portal is multi-directional, not a small one), it freezes, and then an error message appears and the game crashes.
After determining that this does not depend on whether there is an AI hero on either side of the portal, I tried moving away from the portal and entering it again. It turned out that in this way, I can move through the portal as many times as I want in 1 turn.

There is also another oddity:
AI players do not buy growth (or at least they use it very little - I haven't figured it out yet - but I think they don't buy it at all, because I encountered a cartographer and, after looking through their armies, I didn't see it. I thought maybe they were in the Dungeon, but after capturing 2 castles, I saw that the growth was not bought), but they buy heroes to the maximum. Maybe this is just a coincidence, but that's how it was in the game I played yesterday.
I encountered an AI hero with 40 pegasuses, but I suspect that he (the AI) simply hired them on the map (it seems that pegasuses, like wyverns, cannot be obtained in any buildings, therefore the computer captured a neutral building and bought pegasuses there).

Otherwise, everything seems to be in order (there are about 2 months of game time).

P.S.: I almost forgot to mention one more thing - it is better not to minimize the game (if you play as I described above), otherwise you will have to re-enter it (the VCMI technical window remains, but the game itself disappears).
