You're the one placing bets on who you play with; fairness is a different matter. Armani doesn't break the site; this relates to gaming ethics. Disputes are resolved in-game; you can simply delay the recalculation of the score upon receiving a complaint or suspicion and resolve the situation in-game.

Create a poll, estimate based on the number of people, and calculate whether it's worth doing. Based on the poll, you can start thinking about something. Then, create another poll about the price, etc.

In my opinion, the simplest solution is to agree with the HotA team, take HotA, cut out the unnecessary parts, and turn it into a paid subscription for the SOD. This seems to be the cheapest option.
