An important lesson I learned is not to get close to Tsukiko. This girl only brings harm to the people she gets close to.
The problem isn't even with Tsukiko herself; it's just the warrior's path. In fact, a warrior is hardly the most reliable or useful high-maintenance friend you could have. If a person hasn't found a place in life other than hacking and slashing and following orders, that's a pretty mediocre outcome for a sentient being. What are the benefits of friendship and communication with a warrior? Hmm... And what are the drawbacks? Well, they'll drag you into their fights, where you'll either get maimed and killed along with them, or they'll look down on you when you don't want to stand up for their rude remarks or honor, and so on. The path of the sword is simple: rejoice when your blade finds its target; get frustrated when it doesn't; die when another blade finds you. It can be fun and exciting, but it's best not to get involved with such individuals if you value your health and dignity. And Tsukiko lives for the moment and enjoys life, doing exactly what she was born to do.
