In one instance, which I probably won't describe, there's a character who can melt non-magical equipment with a wave of his hand (and make the characters faint from the heat). However, he's on a demigod level, and he could be defeated. In theory.

In the fragmented story, the guy the Heroes protagonist met is an ultimate interdimensional traveler, a manipulator of matter and time, indestructible, immortal, and so on. But all you could do with him was chat and get that coin. Nothing else.
