I would say that the situation with Lyde once again highlights how overpowered the samurai are in general, and Tsukiko in particular. Lyde surpasses her in all stats (except agility), has invested in a special skill tree (which players can only unlock for a hefty sum), and, despite all this, still had a relatively low chance of losing to her if it weren't for the enchantment that causes weapon breakage.

In one of my unfinished playthroughs, there were unkillable characters, haha. True, they wouldn't really harm the players, in case of anything, but still.
In one playthrough, which I'm unlikely to share, there's a character who can melt non-magical equipment with a wave of his hand (and make the characters lose consciousness from the heat). However, he's at the level of a demigod (according to the lore), and he could still be defeated, in theory.
