Is death the end of the road or the beginning of a new life?

The cycle of souls. It all seems like Buddhism. I read a couple of books, and everything is explained in such detail that you can actually believe it. What stages await a person after death, and so on. And there are, like, six worlds you can end up in after death. You can be reborn as an animal, an eternally hungry spirit (just like that), a titan, a god, a human again, and some other kind of creature. This is called samsara. A cycle from which you can only escape by achieving enlightenment.
Of all the religions I know (and I only know Christianity and Buddhism), Buddhism seems to me to be the most sensible religion. Islam seems to be older, but I don't know much about it.
