How can we save the "Heroes" theme?

That’s exactly the point, dear Tengro: if you remove the chat, people will flock to the forum to chat. Imagine how many messages go through the chat in a day, and now take 1/20 of them and put them in the forum. What will happen there? Just a bunch of windows with the inscription OFF-TOPIC.

Hmm... there won't be a bunch. There will be one topic... Just one. And it's easier to moderate one topic:)
And, by the way, didn't we live without a chat before? But now the chat is driving everything to the point of absurdity... 1 post on the forum and 1900 in the chat – is that normal?
And what does that mean? It means that the forum is just an appendage, an appendix, and the chat – yes, the chat is a cult, the main thing, and everything else!
Isn't that nonsense? IMHO – it is.
So...
But – forget about the chat. Everyone will defend it anyway. Introduce Dogmas. And that's it. And the flood will quietly die out.
