I agree that it can be a bit boring sometimes... but in SoD, you often search for these hives/cons, while in HotA, you don't even need to look for them!

Sorry, but you're wrong here. Often, it's easier to assemble a viable starting army in SoD, even considering the significant difference in the power of the initial forces.
