SOD was played by everyone, but many didn't even install HOTU, and as a result, playing away is like playing soccer on sand. There are those who trained to play that way, and there are those who only saw how it is to run on sand, and most likely the game will be lost.
As practice has shown, skill cannot be ignored; successful players play very well in both SOD and HOTU. There are opportunities, but it's up to the organizer. (I personally don't play HOTU much, and I've never played for the Cove, but the general concept is clear).
