Instead, you spend day after day on the game for an extended period, and you end up doing things that aren't the most interesting for you, again, dealing with numbers and micromanagement.
There's no need for excessive micromanagement. In my opinion, all this fuss with water and supplies in the desert and other similar things is unnecessary. It adds a headache with numbers for you, and it gives players a chance to completely mess up the quest (which is what happened). And if we're going that route, we should add a system for weapon and item breakage, a fatigue system, a system for changing weather conditions and landscapes, a system for eating food and defecating. Just a bit of realism. If you forget to eat, you get a penalty to your strength. If you forget to go to the bathroom, you get a penalty to your dexterity and charisma. There are already more than enough unpleasantries from directly completing quests and interacting with NPCs. Or is it just me who thinks that adding these elements of realism to the game is unnecessary?
