Firstly, it doesn't fit my role-playing style or logic to add all sorts of random, incremental bonuses. I wouldn't even take a shard into a room with a guardian if the others weren't just idly standing around.
Secondly, even a hundred spirit points, assuming everything is guessed correctly, isn't "restoring" it.
Thirdly, it wouldn't change the fact that Tsukiko drained my spirit...
