After some time, everyone took their places, and food began to appear on the table. Besides D'Lek himself, there was a woman whom the travelers had seen before, and five other locals. The food consisted of roasted meat from an animal unknown to the expedition members, mixed with tree roots and strangely shaped vegetables, and the drinks looked like plain, purified water. There were two pots of food in total; one served portions for the guests and the hosts, and the other for D'Lek and Delirium. According to local customs, the leader had to eat separately from those he was leading.
