:) well, I started with that myself; actually, after the "first era" ends, it's not even necessary to keep going back to the Castle (on large maps with AI); you level up your hero and with every new level, your army is effectively strengthened, so it's better to buy out warriors and keep them defending the castle:)

Thanks for the advice. I'll also try using the caravanserai to build up a larger garrison in the towns closer to the enemy.

I've been playing recently and noticed something strange about myself: I BUILD griffins in the Castle, but when I attack with one hero (playing through "The Coming Storm" again as my favorite Agrainel), I SUMMON unicorns more often. Maybe it's because more of them are summoned?:rolleyes:

And tigers really can tear the enemy apart like a rag. And the speed is decent. Now I don't even know who to build...:rolleyes:
Probably elves after all. Well, I love hitting the enemy from afar...:)
