The plague strikes every three days. You can spend a month running from a mine or town (with upgraded logistics) to wolves without losing troops. Or you can fight with cyclops, a ballista, and a wolf tent (if there are fewer than 5 units, the plague won't work).

I understand that if you've already started playing a map, changing the level limit in the editor won't help, right?
