Well, for now, it's not a full team (3), but rather "1.5 diggers." Trust me, that's a huge difference.
If half the team disappears, then yes, it will be almost impossible to win. After all, the division into tiers isn't arbitrary.
There really is a difference in skill, with rare exceptions. :D
