Well, for a large organization, the money from one person is a small amount. For that person, of course, it's a significant sum. However, if these are voluntary donations, then one could argue, but such a situation is more or less adequate only if there are already mandatory payments to someone. And the name itself, whether it's a tax, tribute, or tithe, is not so important, as long as the influence of the collector increases.

In Western Europe, the tithe was originally a simple voluntary offering to the church of one-tenth of income; but gradually the church made the tithe mandatory.
