Hmm, I captured one of the human castles with a demon – and I see Astrid is heading my way. I thought, I’ll meet her in the castle. She attacks, the lords cast spells normally, then she should cast Phantom – the mouse cursor turns into an hourglass – meaning “wait” – and nothing happens. The game doesn’t freeze – you can check the hero’s and units’ stats – but she can’t cast the spell. Restarting didn’t help. I went back to the field and attacked myself – the same thing happened. I had to load a slightly earlier save and meet Astrid with a second hero – I maxed out the mage’s spellcasting skill. By the way, Astral Gates should be banned; otherwise, garrisons become useless. The garrison at 46.19 consists of two stacks of archers and 5 stacks of fatties – as a result, the archers don’t participate in the battle because there’s no room for them on the battlefield.
