It's a well-developed French map with interesting battles and secrets, by the same author.
It's true that it's not easy, but it's worth a try.

I want to recommend the map Running With The Devil
It is compared to Ringing of Victory, The Empire of the World I & II, and Vengeance is mine, and despite its release (either 1999 or 2004), it is still interesting and hardcore in moderation.
By hardcore, I mean interesting and progressive, not in the style of xiedu.
In short, we are fleeing from the archangels as the devil, in order to establish a base and return with revenge.
There are many hints, a lot of text and plot in English, but even so, it's interesting to play.
Events for AI growth, battles on cursed land... it turns out that it was already practiced in 99 (or 2004).
The map is very good, but I'm stuck, I can't reach the key masters because of the Archangels... it seems to be on time, but something is wrong.
