Originally, the discussion was about holding a Novice tournament in HotA. It was not specified that this was separate from SoD, and this despite the fact that the SoD summer Novice tournament was canceled.

The question of tournaments is solely a matter of having an organizer. If a SoD Novice tournament is needed, you take it on and run it. Or persuade someone else to run it. There is no ban on holding any tournaments on HeroesWorld, self-organization ownz.

The only thing here that is not so much a ban as a strong recommendation is not to hold mixed SoD+HotA tournaments. Because if HotA ever gets to the point of having its own site with profile badges for tournament achievements, then it would be desirable to transfer the results of HeroesWorld tournaments there, and mixed tournaments are unlikely to make it into that list.
