My take is to avoid such tournaments altogether. But for those who play, they will constantly have to decide what is more important at the moment: a timer that simplifies the game and levels the playing field to the average skill level, or quality development. It all depends on luck and guesswork. And, by the way, such decisions will also partially consume the timer.
