Vikk posted this challenge to justify his experiments with timers.
Vikk posted this article to educate people about the methods of playing on a short timer. Experience from watching streams has shown that, when it comes to saving time, many even very experienced players often make systematic mistakes.
To teach people how to play on a short timer, they need to have at least some practical experience in competitive play on a short timer. So far, there is no evidence that this experience exists.
Well, I reached the finals of Alessandro's blitz tournaments twice, once on HotA and once on Horn of the Abyss. Both times, I withdrew from the final (meaning I didn't lose a single game in the end). The level of opponents, however, was average; at that time (2010-2011), blitz was not very popular.
