Having a plan for the game is useful, but any plan is nothing compared to how effectively you act here and now. Often, on streams, you can see that players start to get nervous when something doesn't go according to plan because their main focus is on the plan, not on the action. The only way to act effectively is to forget about the plan and use it only where necessary.
