Vic posted this task to justify his experiments with timers. To teach people how to act under a short time limit, he should have at least some practical experience with competitive play under a short time limit. So far, there is no indication that he has this experience.

Everything is fine with Kotov; there's no point in nitpicking his texts. He is one of the most useful chess authors. However, there are questions about Vic. For now, it looks like he is trying to connect a text on one topic to another because he is unable to construct an accurate semantic analogy.
