OFB-11!

Either I'm completely hopeless and can't choose the right direction to go, or the game is trolling me. From scouting, I saw rocks everywhere, no Dragon Utopias, was glad I found at least one Dragon Utopia, which turned out to be garbage. Built a Mage Guild, found no control. Captured Conflux a day earlier, which let me upgrade to Birds with an external dwelling of Psychic Elementals, but my opponent didn't despair and upgraded to Angels. In the neighboring zone I found 2 portals. Bad luck number one. Then I went into a zone with a bunch of promising boxes, 8 out of 8 were experience. My opponent, on the other hand, went into an unremarkable zone cunningly surrounded by rocks, but such that two Dragon Utopias fit exactly flush between the rocks. It was in those Dragon Utopias that my opponent found a Chalice of Life and a Quest for the Grail. And hoping that with one Dragon Utopia I was ahead, I made contact, then saw that my stats were lower, armies were larger, and control wasn't built – I surrendered. Postmortem revealed there was also a Dimension Door scroll, even without a Mage Guild.
And now what Savitar said, that on a mirror matchup everyone plays exactly the same, is absolutely brilliantly disproven. Moreover, it's hard to say who played more correctly, here one just got luckier, the other less so. Thanks for the game
