I think all this fuss about the Necropolis isn’t really justified. For example, in one game, random Gorgons spawned, and I easily recruited them using diplomacy. So, by the second week, I was able to buy the Azure Dragon in the Dungeon (and I could have bought it in the first week), but I wouldn’t call it overpowered. The same goes for a hypothetical Teapot or Titan’s Armor in the Necropolis. I already captured the Angel Alliance at the beginning of the second month, so the fact that some of its units are available from the start doesn’t really matter.
