How can we connect the fifth installment with the previous games in the series?

Hmm, I think we need a completely new universe... a new world...
And haven't you thought that civilizations could simply change...?
That is, first one existed... then it declined... a new one began to develop, and the name or language changed... and so on. Maybe this is the main connection... simply that legends are constantly passed down... and each civilization develops along a well-trodden path... but at the same time, it adds something of its own... at the very least, these could be different continents...
