I played a tower for the first time. I didn't really want to, but my opponent convinced me to try it. We started playing right away without any pauses. The starting area was quite small, located in the center, but there were two cons right on the starting area, they gave me a useful artifact, and Tamika arrived. I quickly made my way to the crossroads and to my main town. I captured it on day 114. At the crossroads, I found another con guarded by a steel golem. This wasn't a big problem for Solmyr, but all the cons were level 2-4, so I couldn't take them yet. I decided to develop my opponent's town instead of my main town, as its location was better. By the end of the week, I brought in a scholar and retrained scouts, including air scouting, to give Solmyr an advanced scouting skill. The nagas in the citadel were ready.
The transition between the crossroads (which was unguarded) turned out to be just an empty space. That is, there was no teleport, nor even a change in the landscape. However, thanks to the scouts, I was able to quickly orient myself using the map.
At the beginning of the second week, I gathered a caravan and headed towards the green town faster than my opponent. On day 123, I captured the town, after which my opponent came to the crossroads, blocking my path back and preventing me from bringing in any more caravans. There were also two cons standing at that key crossroads. My opponent checked them, but didn't take them. Then he went to attack my horses. The lab rat thinned out his archers, but Solmyr was caught in an unfavorable position. I forgot about Valeska's special ability and stood too close. RIP. I was left without scouts and the ability to use a chain of units to even out the forces.
Next, my opponent went to capture the purple town, which was a little further away, opening up a corridor for me to bring in caravans. However, the situation was also complicated by the timer running out.
On day 131, I brought in a caravan and just in time, Tamika leveled up her earth magic. This gave me the ability to take cons, and I also got lucky and found Solmyr in the tavern. I brought him closer to the key area. The max end unit arrived without any losses, and overall, at this point, victory was already in sight. My opponent rushed towards me, but he couldn't reach me. On day 134, I was preparing to capture the second max end unit and attack with a significant army advantage. For extra safety, I first attacked with Solmyr. Then my opponent surrendered.
Thanks for the game.
