Secondly, in Heroes 2, besides the pyramid, there is also the curious Pandemonium map. I watched as its Walkthrough blew the minds of three very strong players for half a day; I just watched from the side and sincerely enjoyed it ))

I'm trying to beat Xiedu and encountered an interesting feature. Either a bug in Heroes or a bug in the map. Basically, Sir Mullich doesn't receive skills upon leveling up starting from a certain level. Yet, there are 3 empty slots. What the heck?
It was designed that way by the author. The skills will be obtained later in Pandora's boxes at another respawn. Level-ups still occur, adding attack/defense, etc.

Xiedu map. After 5 attempts, I brought it to "perfection." The main problem is luring enemy heroes into the water. My Walkthrough: With the Necromancer, we kill Nudy, then we get killed (as intended), we capture the Castle with 1 hero—run around it from left to right, build and capture the stables—level 3—lower (dwarf) gold mine, right (fanatics)—gorgons—50 thieves—then the second Castle (as fast as possible)—leave shooters there and slaughter the pegasi—back to the 1st Castle—1.4.1 pink attacks (take all shooters, 5 champs, 30 crusaders, otherwise they'll just sit and defend)—take the 3rd Castle—swap hat for 12 champs—second pink attacks (from the Rampart)—take all champion shooters and 1 griffin each (otherwise they'll sit)—Haste, wait for their turns, champs destroy the catapult, shooters take out wyverns, champs back to Castle, Shield—1 hero runs to Rampart, gold mine on the way—pink is in the water—down to the 4th Castle (2nd hero leveled up in Adv. Wisdom, Logistics, Exp), 2nd hero takes Water Walking—gargoyles—kill the hero with dwarves (1 nearby)—amulet—1st hero takes all troops from the second—runs to the tree—2nd hero by water to the Necropolis—1 dragonfly and Magic Arrow!! take a few black knights and the black tent!!—1st hero to the 3rd hero (Pandora Water Walking), give 1 gargoyle, dwarves, 220 approx 200 birds—3rd hero stays!! day 54 pink wanders from below—run to Rampart and dig 4 cells (not immediately)—day 57 tea-speedy runs after us to Rampart (pink takes 2 1 3 Castle)—we are in the fountain of luck bottom right—tea-speedy swims (Ice Elementals-champs)—back to digging 4 cells Rampart—tea-speedy wipes out pink (40 angels and 120 champs)—one turn before the wipe, 3rd hero green tent and Death—red into Rampart and into the water with no return))-1st hero digs 5th Castle 2 cells + ship trap is ready—tea-speedy runs to us—we took 6th Castle (above Rampart)—we to Rampart—he to us—and into the fountain—he's in the water! So, the reason I'm writing is that purple is the weakest, fears tea-speedy and doesn't want to share the water. I lure him down to the mines where he settles, and I go back. Or, via editor, spawn a ship with 360 champs, with minor losses, and bury him near the lighthouse, but that's cheating. 2nd hero after visiting the green tent hits the red Necromancer (at his home) with Slow (+ troop bonuses), then the center Necropolis in the open field. Troops accumulated for the guard with 300 angels, there is Slow there too, you need to run ahead of him. Anyone who has played might know how to get rid of them all? I brought everything to ideal with almost no losses, but purple is undesirable; I don't want to give him an extra Castle after all. The map is the hardest; the map author didn't answer the question directly on maps4heroes.
To "beat them all," you need to follow the author's logic and plan: i.e., do not lure everyone into the water, wait at your own respawn, and instead of killing the hero with 300 angels, quickly handle business at your own respawn and milk it: one hero to the Necropolis respawn with 1 fly, and the second hero to the elf respawn with 2 flies. And then build up there. Your home respawn can be reclaimed by taking a "detour" across the map for, say, 6-8 months, once you have the strength.

Post it, because I don't really want to search and download standard maps :smile42:

Started playing a map called Les prйmices de l'Apocalypse.. a bit similar to Xiedu, one of the few maps that interested me.
True, around month 2, green comes to us, and there are no options: whether to defend the base or push forward..
I braced myself for a hard map and passed it "all the way" in 34 days (on 213 I think).
It turns out that you absolutely must develop a scholar hero, raise his scholarship to expert + advanced wisdom, after which he must learn Resurrection from one of the lords (if it's not given in the guild, for which resources are also needed), Meteor Swarm from our "chief," and other such things like Prayer, etc. Then we go in 2 different directions, visit the green and blue tents. As soon as we learn Resurrection, we can fight almost anyone.
There is no DD, and especially no TP, but at different respawns you can leave level 5-6 dwellings uncaptured, which are guarded, and "break" wherever you need to in order to guard a necessary Castle or if you need to quickly redeploy a hero somewhere.
After that, near the home respawn, we pass the green and blue guards, jump into a one-way teleport and kill the story hero La Discore (he has only 4 phoenixes and who knows what else in the army, can be beaten by our Main Hero with just 3-5 green dragons). That's the whole game! :) about 30% of the surface map and 10% of the underground map are open.
But you can take the long path: search for passages to other tents, beat enemy heroes one by one, etc.
Let's just say: the map caused no difficulty at all until 213, just ordinary micromanagement for the first 2-3 weeks, and you are already
