I accidentally heard the title of this series and looked it up. The theme of teenage relationships isn't something I'm interested in; I've never been a teenager, but I decided to watch it, just for fun. The series has everything that should be in a series about American teenagers in 2017 (gays, lesbians, all sorts of oppression, bullying, feminism, and other similar things). But I don't care, as I'm indifferent to all these modern trends, especially in a foreign country. The main reason why the main character committed suicide is obvious from the very beginning, immediately after reading the description of the series. But it was still interesting to watch the suffering of the main character and the other characters. I don't understand this, but it seemed that the actors played well, and the series was well made, considering the audience it's aimed at, as well as the book. I laughed out loud at some scenes, even though the characters were supposedly having a bad time. In general, it doesn't matter. What do I want to say? If you're an American teenager (girl/someone who identifies as a girl), you can safely watch this series! You'll enjoy it.
