At the crossroads, again, I didn't find much money and rushed to my own computer. I failed to guess the fork on the first try and lost extra time. In the end, by the end of the week, the cats were not being built at all; I had to make do with the portal.
On the second week, I started making serious mistakes, even in passing fights. A cat here, a cat there, and in the end, I barely took Griffin Conservatory 1 on 124, leaving 3 cats behind. Things seemed to go more cheerfully with the angel, but I managed to lose him in an easy battle that the autobattle handled successfully. On the bright side—the second same-faction dungeon computer was captured and a cat portal was built there, which prospectively provided a very strong stack.
On the 3rd week, there was a Town Portal scroll, and I immediately started building the Mage Guild. Gunnar simply refused to catch Earth Magic, so I started leveling other heroes. By the end of the week, this resulted in a very funny situation where there were essentially 3 evenly leveled mains. The Necromancer pushed Earth forward, and by the start of the fourth, I hoped to finally start rotating and fix the situation.
On the 4th week, I began using the opportunities provided by the map layout. I tried to utilize if not 3, then at least 2.5 heroes, clearing all available directions and breaking through new ones. Fortunately, scouting was decent. The Griffin Conservatories after the first one were all small, but I gained stats quickly in the Dragon Utopias.
By the start of the second month, I already had decent stats, angels and vivs were slowly accumulating, and I upgraded to Dimension Door in the Mage Guild. A 50+ scorpicore stack is also quite impressive. Skeletons began to actively accumulate on two Necromancers.
At this moment, the opponent arrives via Dimension Door and takes the town. In terms of army and stats, it's comparable, perhaps he has a slight advantage. The next day, he bursts into my adjacent territory; ignoring such a move was no longer an option. In one turn, I take the Dragon Utopia, buy and upgrade eyes and medusas from two dungeons, decide which "main" I want for this finale, and move toward him. I don't know how this battle would have ended with full mana for both heroes, but since the opponent forgot to replenish his mana, a couple of explosions quickly settled everything.
Thanks for the game.
