I think the damage formulas in Heroes 1-3 and Heroes 5 are roughly the same, and the developers of Heroes 7 tried so hard to make it a classic Heroes game (or at least they claimed to), that I don't think there will be a significant difference in the formulas. But, of course, this is just a guess.
