Commando



I've been meaning to watch some old action movies with Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and other Segal for a while now. I even made a list, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Or rather, I haven't been in the mood. And then I thought that my mood hasn't been good for about four years now, lol. Anyway, it's a good movie, I liked it. A good guy takes down the bad guys in no time, and EVERYTHING WORKS OUT for him, he ALWAYS HAS LUCK, ALL the bullets miss or only graze him, and in general, MIRACLES happen. In short, it's a typical action movie from that time, but I think there's something to it. Maybe I need to watch different kinds of movies sometimes, because I watch all these art-house films where everything is bad and life sucks, and you just sit there and nod, thinking about how relatable everything is. I remembered that when I was a kid, when cable TV first appeared, they used to show similar action movies, and I would watch them (although I don't remember exactly what I watched, maybe I even saw Commando). That's all it took to be happy. When I watched it now, I felt so warm, as if I had returned to my childhood, and my mood improved a little. It's a shame it didn't last long...
