Damn, you can’t get a plot summary out of you. I’ll have to Google it and write my own. I’m not a fan of King, but “The Tower” is really a worthwhile read. Ment, I wouldn’t say that everything is just gloom and doom there. There are also very bright, life-affirming themes. Although the protagonist is quite the scumbag, and in general, there is indeed decay and hopelessness, as in any normal post-apocalyptic setting. But there are also things to laugh about. By the way, I heard that they are going to film “Metro 2033”. I really don’t want that to happen. I heard that it will be made by Americans, but I wouldn’t trust anyone with that. Our filmmakers haven’t brought cinema to an acceptable level yet, and the Americans will make an action movie with special effects and ruin the whole atmosphere.
