Maybe, but I managed to beat Ashwing in the field after about 7-8 attempts. The only problem is carefully clicking the mouse on the book for 60+ rounds, because the slightest mistake, and you have to start the battle all over again (once the mouse glitched, and the archer flew out of the field, the second time I missed with the field and left a gap, and something else happened...).
I think I also tried not to target his archers, but if I remember correctly, by the 3rd round, my army was reduced by 3/4, including the archers, and there was no point in continuing the battle.
