Honestly, remembering how absurd the last Heroes of Might and Magic online tournament was and seeing that nothing has changed this time, I decided to give up even during the group stage, even though I really like HoMM. Long, boring, and pointless groups, where almost everywhere there are two obvious favorites, who then go to the playoffs with two best-of-one matches – it's so fun to spend about 4 months on unnecessary groups just to flip a coin twice later. By the way, in the previous tournament, the initial rules were best-of-three in the playoffs for all matches... but Scorpion decided that it was too long for her and, at the end of the group stage, unilaterally changed everything. Of course, it's better to spend a couple of extra months playing with newcomers, some of whom are also difficult to coordinate with, than to play a normal best-of-three with those who made it to the playoffs:smile35:. Well, and the practice of uncompromising free wins in the later stages is something else entirely (as far as I remember, in the last HoMM online tournament, 3 such matches were planned for one round, but with the intervention of Dirty FTS, it was still possible to bring them back into the tournament). As a result, one of the seemingly top tournaments on the forum turns into some kind of farce.
