"The Will of Ashan" - "Heart of Darkness" [2nd campaign, 5th mission]

Near each city, there are circles for sacrifices. Place four Necromancer heroes there (including Ornela). After that, the barrier will open.

For some reason, the barrier still doesn't open, even though all the heroes are standing between the demonic pillars. What could be the reason?
