The opponent used magic with Gunnarr. In the game: he got the Town Portal first, and the initiative was his.

Before the game, I specifically reread the rules and started in full battle readiness. But after a couple of restarts, and then a couple of intense early game days, I found Gunnarr in the tavern – oh, cool, I got lucky, and how can I level him up alongside the Necromancers? – and suddenly, the rules I had recently read completely disappeared from my memory.
Throughout the game, Gunnarr ran around, leveled up, and cast spells as if nothing had happened. Until suddenly the opponent wrote – are you currently casting damage spells with Gunnarr? :smile11: gg

And the match was quite interesting. I had no experience playing Necromancer in HotA, so the opponent played more confidently overall, but we were roughly neck and neck. We alternately took the lead in terms of army and showed increasing stats. We both got Air Control in roughly the same Treasure Room at about the same time. But neither of us found the Town Portal, and on the 5th or 6th attempt, I rebuilt it earlier and immediately went on the attack, which ended immediately with a tech victory. :smile35:
