If I find someone who says they've read J. Joyce, H. Hesse, G. Marquez, and J. Rowling, I might consider reading HP... For now, I'm inclined to believe that all the hype surrounding the book is a very clever PR campaign by highly skilled professionals...

And, I think, magic was involved... :)

P.s. I read the first volume, about halfway through...
