In the first battle in the center toward the end of week 2, I killed almost all of Straker's units, including 300 skeletons. He bought back with the remnants of his champions and archers. I bought back for 131 and aimed to retreat from the center into the unexplored zone, where I revealed the Griffin Conservatory, but then Straker caught me with a devastating buyback from 2 castles. I could have tried to outplay him—I had Mass Slow, Shield, and Stoneskin, plus a Blessing for 200 troglodytes, but I had no Haste, which ultimately decided the outcome. Thanks for the game!
