Awakening of Evil

What’s with the misleading description of the map? Have the rewards for the prophet quests been changed? If so, why did I only take troops when I reached the blue gates, instead of the hints? Now I’m just sitting here guessing which of the 5 cities, each of which has a lake, has the tear buried. I haven’t been this frustrated with a map in a long time. You spend so long heading towards the center, and then you’re told, “GO GET THE TEAR, YOU IDIOT, YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE HINTS INSTEAD OF TROOPS.”
