Spider: There is practically no imbalance in the paths. There are exceptions, but even there, it's not so hopeless due to the simpler mechanics of the zones (fewer chances to block) and 3k guards per passage, allowing you to break through anywhere on the first path + a greater number of resources/external markets/mines give you a chance to come back by quickly building a Grand Master.
At the same time, the extreme imbalance in the treasure and overall composition of the paths, especially with a path that offers quick access, makes Spider, in the opinion of many, more unbalanced than 6LM. I can, by the way, send you save files from my recent tournament on Spider against Cobra as an example, where you could also surrender on the first path, but only because it was a tournament, I managed to hold on until the 123rd day. The surrender was obvious: a super-class road junction for Cobra with 10! cons against a long road leading to a dead-end village and with unbreakable blocks on the first path in the other direction, which is also not a short road.
