Most of those who responded are also against it ;)
In my opinion, it's better to do something thoroughly, even if it takes longer, than to do it quickly and in a sloppy way.
And I'll add that new models don't affect the release of a new version (at least not in 0.86), they can still be added at any time, even without releasing a new version.
Since the development has been delayed, I'll set a deadline for the release of the new version on July 23 and release what I have, because the mechanics and icons have been completed for a long time. Everything else will be postponed to 0.87.
That's where the majority was.
Something that takes longer but is done well...
But the concept of "longer" is different for everyone. I believe that I also take a long time and do a good job. And if there are any shortcomings, it's more due to a lack of experience in something, but not because of rushing. It may seem like it's done quickly. In reality, it takes
(to port) 4-6 days to create one new model, sometimes even longer, if you're dealing with a new skeleton for the first time.
It's not hard to calculate how much time it would take to create all the heroes with their own unique models. There are about 28 heroes in the faction, let's say 25, excluding the campaign heroes. 25*8*5 (average) = 1000 days. Almost three years))) And that's assuming there's a lot of free time (which I definitely won't have in the next two months). Now, let's think about who is willing to spend so much of their free time?))) It seems easy from the outside, just download a model from the internet, and it's done. In reality, to bring everything to a good state... Maybe someone can do it faster and better, but for now, that's how it is for me.
In short, the point is, we're all doing this out of enthusiasm, you could say as a hobby, so let's respect each other and each other's time. Criticism is, of course, necessary, but within reasonable limits. For example, we discussed the strings, came to a conclusion. The colors weren't right, the issue was resolved. I understand all of this. But there are some requests that, I'm sorry...
And besides, I'm not saying why the version is still 0.85, when I remember that we wanted to update it on February 23rd. I understand that not everyone has the time, and not always. I don't even bother to see what you're doing. It's not my business. Let the players write about the shortcomings.
I hope I've explained it clearly.
